Helicopter on Logistic Mission Ground
ONE HELICOPTER on a logistic mission in connection with a state ceremony in ARUGAM BE, AMPARA had to land at a location close to ARUGAMBE Tuesday (1) around 1.30 p.m. when the pilot learnt that fuel level of the helicopter was fast receding.
The Bell 412 helicopter engaged in some logistic work in connection with the ceremony was safely landed following timely detection of the technical fault.
Investigations conducted after landing found that one fuel tank had being damaged due to gun shot.
Air Force are making investigations.
