SLMM HAS NO MANDATE TO COMMENT ON THE SOVEREIGNTY OF SRI LANKA – DEFENCE SPOKESMAN

Addressing the media briefing at MCNS today (07) Defence Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that the SLMM has no mandate to comment over the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Sri Lanka. The Minister made these comments citing an English daily which carried a story under the heading “SLMM notes increased Govt. spy plane activity over Wanni”

Responding to questions over the Government’s stand on the Cease Fire
Agreement, Minister Rambukwella said that “If it is violated to the
extent that it is not worth carrying on any more it’s up to both parties
to inform the people who have come in between. We as the Government have
said on a number of occasions to re-look at it. We are prepared to give
that option”

GOSL not concerned with British Parliament actions regarding the
conflict in SL

“We are certainly making adjustments in the Air Force to meet the Tiger
Air capability threat. We are doing our best to see that adequate
defence is done as fast as possible. We are very confident that the
process is on and that it will reach the target”

Massive Air Strike destroys LTTE Base - Iranamadu

Sri Lanka Air Force fighters pounded on a pre-identified LTTE base at Ramanatpuram east of Iranamadu, in the Mullaittivu District today morning .

According to the Air Force sources, a large complex of buildings including a fuel storage, large stock of arms, ammunition and explosives were completely destroyed.

The intelligence sources revealed that the target has been accurately identified through timely ground information received from reliable sources.

BRITISH IMPERIALISTS SHOULD STOP THINKING THAT SRI LANKA IS STILL ITS COLONY

It seems that these plunderers and mass murderers who brutally destroyed the religions, cultures and indigenous development of Asian, African and Middle Eastern countries still believe that Sri Lanka is one of its colonies or outposts. The British High Commissioner in Colombo Mr. Dominic John Chilcott has become the key representative of this British Tamil terrorist lobby in Sri Lanka. He has taken over the role played by the despicable Dixit in the eighties who in the background of India’s parippu invasion (diplomacy) high-handedly compelled the Sri Lankan government to make military, political and economic reverses to suit Indian hegemonic objectives. Abandoning Wadamarachchi operations, imposition of the white elephant provincial council system, merging of Northern and Eastern provinces were some of the glaring dictates imposed by Dixit.
