South of Adampan Falls to Army

UNWAVERING DETERMINATION and valour of trimphant soldiers of the Army, embroiled in one of the history’s worst and most inhuman warfare struck another major blow to terrorists when they dominated and captured a one-square km area, to the south of ADAMPAN, MANNAR this morning (8) after facing stiff resistance of the terrorists.

Troops now marching forward on all fronts secured this area after beating pockets of Tiger terrorists who had to retreat leaving twelve of their dead fellow-cadres behind.

Two valiant soldiers sacrificed their lives in their humanitarian mission to rescue besieged villages from grips of LTTE terrorism. Five more War Heroes sustained injuries in the operation.
