Tamil Television Network (TTN) shut down
TTN, a satellite Television operating out of Paris, is owned by the Tamil Tigers, formally known as Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), a banned terrorist organization in the European Union countries including France.
Earlier Washington based Intelsat Ltd took similar action recently against National Television of Tamil Eelam (NTT) the official television of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

Thirteen terrorists killed
SL Army troops on patrol throughout Tuesday (01), in the Mannar FDL areas were confronted by LTTE terrorists many times, according to MCNS officials.
The troops had retaliated and had observed that a total of ten (10) Tigers had been killed in the confrontations throughout the day (01).
Meanwhile, military officials said that, three more LTTE terrorists were killed in Weli - Oya area around 05.30p.m on Tuesday, the 01st of May.
Troops retaliated and intercepted LTTE radio transmission had confirmed that three terrorists were killed in the confrontation.
No casualties were sustained by own troops the officials further added.
